Here's a sample of some of the production work on these Mitrek Radios for version A. The project is a set of 10, for the SRG club, here, in Spokane, for linking purposes.
Here's the panels (front and back) after being cut, painted, holes drilled. Next task is to load the controls on the panel.

The LEDs are positioned with the appropriate lead polarities. Then they are epoxy glued in place.

The volume and squelch pots come with 1.8" shafts too long.

After cutting to the correct length and grinding off the rough edges they are mounted on the panel. Notice in the right picture there's a second hole to serve as a locking device, so the pots don't turn when the nut is tighten on the front.

The connector "P1" is use for the I/O. Production assembly making several of them at a time works great. Use a vice and wire them up.

Then divide/dress the wires for two areas, the radio and cor board. Use heat shrink to manage the two bundles.

The (local monitor) speaker is the last sub-assembly to make up. The two holes for the speaker housing make a good location for the pin jacks.
